Rich Dad Poor Dad was my first book, and guess what? I finished the book and I quit my job, heck yeah . . .
If you haven’t read the book yet, read it, but please don’t do the same; what I am trying to say here, is that Books have a great impact on us, in fact they have the greatest influence.
I love books, and to be honest I love the full experience of having a new one; from deciding which book to buy to receiving with fresh new pages with their addictive smell that makes the experience even more magical – usually the title reveals itself through different medium; while reading, browsing the net, through a friend who is sharing, etc.. – so i don’t spend time on that, and then I just buy it.
Fo me books are like messengers, each one has something to deliver. No matter how long you had the book for, or how many times you’ve read it; one day you will open it, choose a random page, and here you go the message of the day…
I usually prefer books related to personal development and growth, since we all need guidance to certain extent in different aspect of life. My personal opinion of course.
Below is the golden list of books that helped me all the way, crafted my thinking process and how I perceive things in life:
1- Rich Dad Poor Dad. The book entails the difference between two fathers, one who worked hard his entire life but never reached a financial freedom, the other guy has invested his money smartly due to entrepreneurship and his financial education, and I don’t mean here certificate or any academic education; it is to let the money work for you and don’t work for money.
2- The Secret. It is based on the law of attraction and by simply changing your thoughts, you can change your life. Being unemployed, struggling and no knowing what to do in life, the Secret helped me to grow my imagination, unleash my dreams and desires and the most important part is to believe that I can achieve them. It is to tune yourself with the right and high frequencies in order to attract and recieve what you desire.
3- What Choices Do I Have? As per my article, Before You Make a Choice, you can create and design your future’s events and your life by making certain decisions and choices. The book provides tools that empower you to make choices that better direct your life and career.
4- Transition Management: A practical Approach to Personal and Professional Development. Here, the law of attraction was applied literally. I moved to a new city with a new fresh start. Not knowing what to do with my dreams and goals, the book has equipped me with great insights and necessary skills, to create a circle of connection and build confidence.
5- Think and Grow Rich. In order to be wealthy and successful, you have to model successful people who have made wealth; by thinking like them, you can become like them. There are 13 steps money making secrets and if well applied will definitely lead to success.
6- How to Win Friends and Influence People. Imagine you have a book that will help you handle people objections and conflicts and how to turn them to be from your side by genuinely being interested in them, remember their names, and listen to them and make them feel important. 12 things the book will do for you. So if interested go give it a look.
7- You are a Badass at Making Money. A life changing guide to making the kind of money you’ve only ever dreamed of. It helped me to remove the mental obstacles and fears that held my financial freedom, shaped my reality. It stopped me from being the victim of circumstances. Now I have new beliefs about money.
8- The Storyteller’s Secret. The book teaches you how to craft your most powerful delivery ever, and to discover the keys to telling a powerful story. A good story can spark action and passion. It is the time to share yours as well.
9- The Power of Your Subconscious Mind. The book explains the difference between your conscious and subconscious mind. It is highly important to consciously focus on what you are feeding your subconscious mind as it is the main drive and creator of everything.
10- The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. The first 3 habits move you from being dependent to independent, using the Maturity Continuum successive stages. The other 3 talk about interdependence and working with others. The last one covers the continuous improvement. Beside that, I loved the fact that if you want to have a revolutionary change in your life, you must have a paradigm shift. We are surrounded by one of these two circles; the concern circle and the influence circle and it is solely up to you to narrow down the concerns and grow up your influences and be proactive.

Hi Firas, your articles and texts are great. You are communicating about tips that made you better and shaped your life, and that’s beautiful. Unfortunately, I did not read so many books in my life but I have loved into the wild inspired from the movie. This book, is a way to meditate about what we have to choose, why, and what we have to let go and for what.
I have also loved another french book “la tresse”, that helped me understand how our lives are connected and that every action we do could impact others in the world.

Hello Rasha. It happened that I’ve watched the movie only ๐ Both topics and tittles are interesting. In fact, I love everything that makes us see the world from different perspective, zoom out a bit and then come back and focus on what really matter for us to thrive and evolve.
